Obverse Design

Legend curving along the upper edge of the coin says "TEAMS". Legend along the bottom edge of the coin says "FORT KOBBE PANAMA". The center of the coin has a circle colored blue with a white colored silhouette of an old Spanish Galleon (ship). There is a red cross on the foremost sail. The coin has a smooth plain raised edge, and a plain and smooth background.

Reverse Design

Legend along the upper edge of the coin says "THEATER EQUIPMENT AND MAINTENANCE SITE". Along the bottom edge of the coin are three ornamental dots. In the center is a rimmed circle with a design representing a United States Revolutionary War soldier (possibly a Minuteman) holding a rifle. The coin has a smooth plain raised edge, and a plain and smooth background.

Historical Note The following is a quote:

I commanded TEAMS from Dec 13 1996- Jun 01 1999 when the colors were cased. My 1St SGT and I designed the coin based on the USARSO/SOUTHCOM patch and the TEAMS unit flag (designed by LTC Jim Spencer, the CDR of TEAMS from Jun95-Dec96)... The initial order was for 500 coins in bronze and 50 in silver. Each member of the command cadre got a silver coin and 5 bronze coins, others were given to key individuals who had supported or continued to support the organization during it operation. My LT at the time, Charles Kyle help design and track the order also.
