Obverse Design The legend "E.B. HEALEY" curves along the top. The lines "EAGLE" and "BAR" go horizontally across the center of the token. The "EAGLE" curves slightly upward to follow the top of the token. The "BAR" curves slightly downward to follow the bottom of the token. In the center between the "EAGLE and the "BAR" is an ornament consisting of a dot, diamond and dot. The legend "COLON R. de P." curves along the bottom of the token. "R. de P." is an abbreviation for "REPUBLICA DE PANAMA" which means "REPUBLIC OF PANAMA". There is a circle of beads close to the edge. The token has a smooth plain raised edge.
Reverse Design The legend "GOOD FOR" curves along the top. There is a large "25¢" in the center of the token. Below the "25¢" is the legend "IN" which goes horizontally across the token. Varieties E.B. Healey issued two "EAGLE BAR" token series and a similar "CRISTOBAL" series. The two "EAGLE BAR" series have some minor differences, but are most easily distinguished by looking at the "IN MERCHANDISE" legend on the reverse. In one series both words are together in one line curving along the bottom edge of the token. In the other series, "IN MERCHANDISE" appears on two lines; "MERCHANDISE" curves along the bottom edge of the token and the word "IN" is centered above it. In the ten cents denomination, there are some differences in the obverse design in regards to which ornaments are displayed and where they are placed (a dash above and below "EAGLE BAR" as opposed to a dot diamond dot in between "EAGLE" and "BAR").
